About Raj
Raj Patel is the Managing Director of OutlierInsights, where he advises organizations on technology strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise solutions. With more than 20 years of global leadership experience, Raj has guided some of the world’s largest real estate, construction, and facilities management companies through complex transformations —deploying smart building technology, streamlining operations, and delivering measurable business value.
Previously, Raj served as Vice President of Enterprise Business Solutions at HITT Contracting, Inc., where he led ERP replacement initiatives, application consolidation and integration, and enterprise data strategy, including predictive analytics. He also held senior leadership roles as Chief Technology Officer at JBG Smith, overseeing the integration of systems following its acquisition of Vornado’s DC assets and contributing to the winning proposal for Amazon’s HQ2 in Arlington, Virginia.
Raj’s international expertise includes serving as Vice President of Information Technology at Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai, one of the Middle East’s largest developers, and as Director of IT and Innovation for Omniyat Properties. He also spent several years as Senior Vice President and CIO at Forest City Ratner Companies in New York City, where he spearheaded technology planning for Barclays Arena, home of the Brooklyn Nets. Earlier in his career, Raj was a senior manager in the management consulting practice at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.
Raj holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Mathematical Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He has been an active member of Realcomm since its inception and continues to serve as a thought leader on real estate and construction technology innovation.
